About

Dr. Aman M. Shah is an advanced heart failure and transplant cardiologist at the Tampa General Hospital (TGH) Heart & Vascular Institute, where he delivers precise, patient-centered care for individuals with complex cardiovascular disease. His clinical expertise spans the full spectrum of cardiovascular disease and advanced heart failure care, including cardiomyopathy assessment, infiltrative cardiomyopathy (amyloidosis, sarcoidosis, etc), temporary and durable mechanical circulatory support, heart transplantation, and invasive hemodynamic assessment with right-heart catheterization, endomyocardial biopsy, and implantable hemodynamic monitoring technologies.


Dr. Shah serves as Medical Director of Tampa General Hospital’s Centralized Heart Failure Remote Monitoring Program, leading a system-wide, data-driven program that integrates wearable and implantable technologies to enable proactive heart failure management, early detection of clinical deterioration, and timely escalation to advanced therapies. Dr. Shah also serves as Co-Director of the Cardiac Amyloidosis Program, leading the growth of a multidisciplinary initiative focused on early diagnosis and access to the latest disease-modifying therapies.


Dr. Shah serves as principal investigator in several clinical trials, has published in leading peer-reviewed journals, lectured nationally and internationally, and serves on several advisory boards and professional committees. He is a member of several professional societies including the Heart Failure Society of America and the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation, an Alpha Omega Alpha honoree, and has received multiple awards for teaching excellence. He speaks English and Gujarati.


He earned his medical degree from Albany Medical College and completed his internal medicine residency, cardiovascular disease fellowship, and advanced heart failure and transplant fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center in New York, where he also served as chief fellow. Prior to joining TGH, Dr. Shah served as Associate Director of the Advanced Heart Failure and Mechanical Circulatory Support Program and Director of Infiltrative Cardiomyopathy at Saint Francis Hospital in New York, where he developed one of the nation’s largest CardioMEMS programs and enhanced advanced heart failure outcomes in Long Island, New York.

About

Jason Feliberti, MD, has board certification in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology. He also holds board certifications in Echocardiography and Nuclear Medicine. He earned his medical degree at the University of Buffalo and continued his training with a residency at NYU Langone Medical Center. Dr. Feliberti has five years of additional training in cardiology care including General Cardiology Fellowship at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson, a Heart Failure and Advanced Cardiac Therapeutics fellowship at NYU Langone Medical Center, and a fellowship in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology with the University of South Florida.

Dr. Feliberti has been published in several articles and presented in academic settings on a variety of cardiac topics, and he leads as Principal Investigator in multiple clinical trials. His areas of interest include Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction, Pulmonary Hypertension, Mechanical Circulatory Support, Advanced Heart Failure device-based therapies, Durable Implanted Ventricular Assist support devices, and Cardiac Transplantation.

He is a clinical instructor and Assistant Professor with the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine. Moreover, he serves as the Program Director for the Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology Fellowship with the University of South Florida.

He is a member of the American College of Cardiology, Heart Failure Society of America, The International Society for Heart & Lung Transplantation and the Pulmonary Hypertension Association.
