USF Division of Bariatric Surgery

I'm currently working as an Assistant Professor in the University of South Florida Physician Assistant Program. On Fridays, I continue to provide care to patients that require same day (acute care) appointments for USF Family Medicine.

Dr. Hugo Narvarte completed his undergraduate training at Duke University in 1996, and obtained his MD degree from the University of South Florida in 2000. He then moved to Houston, Texas for residency training in Internal Medicine & Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine. He moved back to Tampa and joined the USF faculty in 2005.

His patient care interests include primary care in both general pediatrics and general internal medicine.

Dr. David R Wilson is the Electrophysiology Section Chief and Medical Director of the TGH Electrophysiology Center of Excellence and a Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist in Tampa, Florida. He graduated with honors from University of South Florida College Of Medicine in 2006. Having more than 13 years of diverse experiences, especially in Cardiac Electrophysiology, Dr. David R Wilson affiliates with Tampa General Hospital, and cooperates with other doctors and specialists without joining any medical groups. Certified in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.

Dr. Rodriguez is a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist specializing in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. His areas of interests are fetal therapy, prenatal diagnostics, fetal pathology, prenatal ultrasound, maternal diabetes and management of complex maternal conditions. He earned his Medical Degree at Universidad Central de Venezuela; he then completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at the same University. He went into academic and private practice for four years before relocating to the USA. In Gainesville, FL, at the University of Florida he pursued an Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency as a requisite to practice in this country. He completed his fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at University of South Florida in Tampa, where he later joined the faculty in the position of Assistant Professor.
