USF Health Department of Cardiology

Dr. Patel is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of South Florida (USF) with clinical appointments at Moffitt Cancer Center, James A. Haley Veterans' Affairs Hospital and Tampa General Hospital. As a practicing cardiologist, her clinical expertise is in Advanced Cardiac Imaging, including echocardiography, cardiac magnetic resonance imaging and cardiac computed tomography. She has special interest in multimodality imaging in diagnosis and management of cardiovascular disease (valvular disease and cardiomyopathy) and medical education.

Dr. Remo is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with several years of experience as a family nurse practitioner in Cardiology (including Lipid Clinic), Internal Medicine (including Diabetic Clinic, Osteoporosis Prevention, Weight Management with Nutritional Counseling), Pulmonary (COPD, Asthma, Sleep Medicine), and Telemedicine. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, May 2004 and completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice also from University of South Florida in December 2015. Her Bachelors of Science degree in Health Science Education, specializing in Wellness and Health Promotion, was from University of Florida in Gainesville. In addition, she is an Assistant Professor and the Faculty Clinical Coordinator at University of South Florida College of Nursing. She also holds a position as one of the Board Directors for the Philippine Nurses Association of Tampa Bay and currently the College of Nursing Diversity Chairperson at University of South Florida.
