Dermatology

About

I am an academic board-certified pediatric dermatologist. My passion for pediatric dermatology has roots in my commitment to excellence in patient care and teaching. I am committed to caring for every patient as if they were a member of my own family. I am honored to serve a diverse population who entrust their child's skin care to me. My goal is to provide a welcoming dermatology home for all pediatric patients.

My career in academic dermatology has spanned more than 25 years. I have dedicated my career to teaching future generations of dermatologists to ensure delivery of high-quality skin care. I enjoy instructing dermatology residents both in a clinical setting and in the classroom. The pipeline for developing our future healthcare leaders starts much earlier. I believe in community outreach to encourage youth to pursue careers in medicine. In addition to teaching as a professor in medical schools, I have instructed in elementary, middle, and high schools. Through these efforts I hope to inspire students to explore careers in medicine.

Dermatology

About

I am an academic dermatologist with a passion for incorporating technology to help improve patient outcomes. Clinically, I treat a wide array of dermatologic issues ranging from acne, and rosacea to more complex skin cancers. I do my utmost to make sure all my patients feel like they can have open discussion with me about their clinical issues by actively listening.

Professionally, I am also happy to serve as the Chief Medical Information Officer for the faculy practice plan. This allows me to marry my two passions technology, and clinical medicine to improve patient outcomes for all patients seen by USF Health providers. We are at a new age where utilizing data, and medical knowledge can help clinicians recognize areas where we can improve care. One example of this is in through the early detection of cancer. In dermatology we are not just focused on continually excising skin cancers; we want to equip our patients to be actively looking whilst at home for signs of anything that could develop into cancer outside of their annual visits.

I would be honored to take care of your dermatologic needs.
