USF Health Pediatric Hematology/Oncology

I'm currently working as an Assistant Professor in the University of South Florida Physician Assistant Program. On Fridays, I continue to provide care to patients that require same day (acute care) appointments for USF Family Medicine.

The most positive patient experience is the ultimate goal of our practice. Our patients need to feel, they were truly listened to and respected!
Our team understands the importance of communication which strengthens our engagment with each patient.

As a pediatric hospitalist, I care for children when they are admitted to the hospital for illnesses such as fever, dehydration, seizures, asthma, well-newborn care as well as medically fragile children with complex health conditions. I enjoy spending time with parents to help them understand their child's diagnosis and working together to improve the child's health and transition them back home as soon and as safely as possible. I have the pleasure of working with wonderful medical students and pediatric residents from the University of South Florida who are rotating at Tampa General; supervising a large academic team allows me to stay current with the latest treatment recommendations.

As an adolescent medicine specialist, my goal is to provide specialized medical care to teens and young adults that will help them navigate the physical and psychosocial issues that are unique to this developmental stage. My training in both general pediatrics and adolescent medicine has afforded me the knowledge and expertise needed to guide parents and their teens through unpredictable and sometimes challenging dilemmas that may emerge during this time of self-discovery.
