Dr. Reshma Patel M.D received her Medical Degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. She then completed her Internal Medicine Residency and her Endocrinology Fellowship at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. She joined Piedmont Endocrinology in Atlanta, GA in 2009. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism.
Dr. Patel specializes in management of adults with disorders of the Endocrine system. Her special interests include management of Thyroid disease, Women's health, Pituitary disorders, Adrenal disorders, Osteoporosis and Diabetes Mellitus. Dr. Patel is passionate about helping her patients obtain optimal health. She provides services and treatments for patients ages 18 years and older. She is a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and the Endocrine Society.
In her spare time, she enjoys playing tennis, traveling, reading and spending time with her family.

Jennifer Gilligan, MD, received her medical degree from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. She completed her residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in endocrinology at Emory University. Dr. Gilligan is board certified in internal medicine and brings with her more than five years of experience. Prior to joining Piedmont Physicians Group, Dr. Gilligan was an emergency room physician at Atlanta Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Decatur. Dr. Gilligan is proficient in Spanish and has done research in diabetes and diabetes care. Dr. Gilligan will be in practice with Imad El-Kebbi, MD, and Reshma Patel, MD.
