Joyce Lu, MD
Vascular Surgery
About
Joyce Lu, MD, is a vascular surgeon who provides surgical and nonsurgical treatment of peripheral arterial disease, aortic disease, carotid disease, hemodialysis access, venous insufficiency and thoracic outlet syndrome.
Dr. Lu takes the time to understand her patients' unique perspectives and goals. She works to create trusting, collaborative partnerships that result in highly individualized care. Dr. Lu explains, "I enjoy teaching my patients about their illnesses and empowering them to make informed decisions to improve their health."
Originally from Cupertino, Dr. Lu is excited to be back in the Bay Area. She says, "El Camino Health's dedication to innovation and quality shows in its history, and I am looking forward to continuing the tradition for our community's future."
Dr. Lu speaks fluent English and Mandarin Chinese.
She was honored with the Gold Humanism Honor Society Award, which recognizes excellence in clinical care, leadership, compassion and dedication to service. She was also selected to receive the Albany Medical College Richard O. Shapiro Prize by her medical school class, which acknowledges a classmate who makes a meaningful contribution to their well-being.
Outside of work, Dr. Lu enjoys rock climbing, badminton, trail running/biking, savoring diverse cuisines and spending time with her friends and family.

Bita Mostaghimi, DPM, is a podiatrist with over 25 years of experience. She specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of foot and ankle conditions and treats patients of all ages.Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, working out, reading, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Mostaghimi is fluent in English, Farsi and German.
She shares, "I like how addressing my patients' functional and cosmetic concerns can make a difference in their daily lives and put on a smile on their faces."
Dr. Mostaghimi is committed to providing high quality, patient-centered care. She listens carefully to understand each patient's concerns and unique goals for care, so she can address them with an individualized treatment plan.
Dr. Mostaghimi provides treatment for a wide array of foot and ankle conditions, such as wounds, tendonitis, ingrown nails, ankle sprains, bunions, hammertoe and diabetic foot conditions. She offers a variety of treatment approaches, including laser treatment for nail fungus and tendonitis.

Lawrence Chen, D.P.M., is a multilingual, board-certified foot and ankle surgeon committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care through a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach. He specializes in limb salvage, wound care, and complex forefoot and rearfoot reconstruction.
Dr. Chen has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of conditions, including bunions, Achilles tendon ruptures, diabetic foot complications, and foot and ankle fractures, utilizing both surgical and non-surgical techniques.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Chen enjoys staying active with swimming, tennis, snowboarding, and golf, and values spending quality time with family and friends over board games.
