Dr. Ashley Roper is a non-invasive cardiologist at MUSC Health. She earned her medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean and completed her cardiology fellowship at Nassau University Medical Center in Long Island, New York. Board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology, Dr. Roper is deeply committed to preventative medicine and promoting long-term cardiac health . She is dedicated to fostering open communication with her patients, creating an environment where they feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout their healthcare journey.

Dr. Zimmermann is a general cardiologist who specializes in cardiac arrhythmias, pacemakers, and defibrillators. He cares for patients with cardiovascular disease, coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathies, congestive heart failure, valvular heart disease, hypertensive heart disease, arrhythmias, atrial fibrillation, and bradycardia. Dr. Zimmermann grew up in Queens, New York, received his college degree at Georgetown University, and received his medical degree at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. He trained in Internal Medicine at Brown University-Rhode Island Hospital and Cardiology at the University of Vermont-Fletcher Allen Hospital. He continued sub-specialty training in Cardiac Electrophysiology at the University of Vermont. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology, Nuclear Cardiology, and Cardiovascular CT. During his career, he has participated in multiple clinical trials and believes in treatment on the forefront of cardiovascular medicine. He continually strives to make life better for each of his patients. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, travel, reading, and his Hoyas.

Dr. Leonie Rose-Bovino is a nurse practitioner with a specialization in cardiology. She has authored numerous publications in the nursing field, focusing particularly on cardiovascular care, which highlights her expertise and dedication to advancing nursing practice. As an active member of esteemed professional organizations, including the American Association of Heart Failure Nurses (AAHFN) and the American Heart Association (AHA), Dr. Rose-Bovino has played a vital role in improving cardiovascular care. Her leadership experience includes serving as the newsletter editor and chair of the membership and communication committees for the AHA Council on Cardiovascular and Stroke Nursing. Currently, she is the editor of the AAHFN's Connections Newsletter, which further demonstrates her commitment to promoting professional growth and collaboration within the field. In addition to her professional pursuits, Dr. Rose-Bovino embraces her passions. She enjoys expressing her creativity through playing the piano and sewing. Furthermore, she is a devoted animal lover and shares her home with three beloved dogs.
