About
Dr. Kirstin Campbell grew-up in Pennsylvania. She graduated from The Johns Hopkins University and later received her medical degree from Washington University in St Louis. After completing her pediatrics residency at St. Louis Children's Hospital, Dr. Campbell worked for years caring for children with significant illness including transport medicine, ER, and inpatient care. Her interest and training in pediatric palliative care grew through that time. Dr. Campbell worked with the Pediatric Advanced Care Team at St Louis Children's hospital for several years prior to relocating to Charleston. Since her arrival at MUSC, she has dedicated her full effort to providing care to children with complex and life changing illness with the Pediatric Palliative Care Team at Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital.

Originally from Virginia, Dr. Urban completed her residency and fellowship training at the Medical University of South Carolina. Her academic interests outside of palliative and hospice care include transitional medicine in adult and pediatric primary care and global health outreach and education. She currently serves as a faculty advisor for the National Med-Peds Residents' Association (NMPRA) and is a member of the Association of Med-Peds Physicians (AMPP).

Shannon Vaillancourt D'Alton, MSN, APRN, PNP

About
Shannon D'Alton received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and a Master of Science in Nursing at The Medical University of South Carolina. She completed a post-graduate fellowship at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, focusing on neuro-oncology and pediatric hospice and palliative care. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Nursing at The Medical University of South Carolina.
Mrs. D'Alton is certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board and a member of the Hospice and Palliative Care Nurses Association. She specializes in the care of children with complex chronic conditions and has expertise in pediatric neurology and palliative care. Her clinical interests include recognition of the physical, social, and psychological burdens associated with chronic illness and loss. Her research interests include grief and bereavement, palliative care and understanding the impact of sibling death on surviving children and the parent-child dyad. Mrs. D'Alton currently practices perinatal palliative care as a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in the Advanced Fetal Care Center at the Medical University of South Carolina.

About
Dr. Conrad Williams is the medical director of the MUSC Children's Hospital interdisciplinary palliative care program, which provides palliative medicine services to patients facing life-threatening illnesses and their families. Prior to joining the faculty at MUSC, he served as medical director for the PANDA Palliative Care Team at Children's National Health System in Washington, DC. He also was the medical director for Chesapeake Kids, the pediatric team at Hospice of the Chesapeake in Maryland.A native of New Orleans, Dr. Williams received a BA in history at the University of Richmond and attended Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed pediatrics residency at MUSC and then a pediatric hospice and palliative medicine fellowship at Akron Children's Hospital in Akron, Ohio under the leadership of Dr. Sarah Friebert. His clinical interests include medical communication, home-based palliative medicine visits
