Michelle Elaine Ziegler, D.D.S.

Dr. Ziegler is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical \& Community Health Sciences, Director of Special Care Dentistry Clinic at the James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina. She graduated from the New York University College of Dentistry, as well as receiving her BS from Columbia University and an AS in Dental Hygiene from the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Dental Medicine. Dr. Ziegler's postgraduate training includes a two year General Practice Residency at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY where she was Chief Resident. She was the Director of the General Residency Program at Lutheran Medical Center (now NYU Langone) and Director of the General Practice Residency Program at Monmouth Medical Center in New Jersey. Dr. Ziegler is a member of the ADA, ADEA, SCDA, AADMD and a fellow of Special Care Dentistry. She is the faculty mentor for the MUSC student chapters of the American Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry. Over the last 30+ years, Dr. Ziegler's passion has been providing care to and educating students and residents in the care for persons with disabilities.

Dr. Gaurav Singla is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada with over 20 years of experience in dentistry. He specializes in implant-based oral and maxillofacial rehabilitation, with fellowship training in oral oncology and implant surgery. His work focuses on restoring complex oral and facial defects, including eyes, ears, and noses lost to cancer, trauma, or congenital conditions. Dr. Singla earned his B.D.S. in India, followed by his D.M.D. and Prosthodontics training at the University of Manitoba. He completed fellowships at MD Anderson Cancer Center and the Eastman Institute for Oral Health. He is an Affiliate Fellow of the American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics and an active member of the American College of Prosthodontics and the International Team for Implantology. Outside of work, he enjoys music, art, cooking, and time with his wife and their three daughters.

Martin B. Steed, DDS, FACS, grew up in Binghamton, New York. He graduated from St. John Fisher College cum laude. He then attended the University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, graduating in 1997. After completing an oral medicine residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1997 to 1999, his training in oral and maxillofacial surgery was carried out at the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Steed began his professional career at the Emory University School of Medicine in 2004 and he was a full time faculty member there until 2013. He was the Emory oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program director from 2007 to 2013 and chief of the oral and maxillofacial surgery service at Emory University Midtown Hospital. In 2013 he moved to his present position as professor and the James B. Edward's Endowed Chair of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina within the James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine. Dr. Steed is a consultant for the Committee on Dental Accreditation and a board examiner for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS). He was recently named as co-chair for the medicine and anesthesia section of ABOMS. Dr. Steed's clinical and research interests include micros-surgical repair of peripheral trigeminal nerve injuries (such as the lingual, inferior alveolar, and infraorbital), virtual surgical planning/simulation, orthognathic and maxillofacial trauma surgery outcome measurements, and surgical curriculum development and assessment. Dr. Steed has an active clinical practice, seeing patients three days per week and operating two days per week. In addition to these clinical responsibilities, he directs the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, is extensively involved in the training of the residents within that program, and continues his research in maxillofacial trauma. Dr. Steed has guest edited three textbooks and authored over 14 book chapters and 21 publications related to oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Mark A. Miller, M.D., D.M.D., FACS

Dr. Miller is a pediatric cleft and craniofacial surgeon and is fellowship-trained in pediatric craniomaxillofacial surgery. He is board-certified in oral and maxillofacial surgery and holds a certificate of added qualifications in pediatric craniomaxillofacial surgery from the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Miller graduated with his medical (M.D.) degree from the University of Florida - College of Medicine and his dental degree (D.M.D.) from the University of Kentucky. He completed an internship in general surgery and residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Florida, College of Medicine - Jacksonville. Following his residency, he completed a fellowship in pediatric craniomaxillofacial surgery at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando, Florida. Dr. Miller's practice emphasis is in pediatric craniofacial surgery, reconstructive facial surgery, neuroplastic reconstructive surgery, orthognathic surgery, repair of cleft lip and palate, and complex craniofacial conditions. He has dedicated his professional life to the care of individuals with facial differences. Dr. Miller, is the Associate Dean for Hospital Affairs for the James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) residency program director and associate professor, holds secondary appointments in the College of Medicine's Departments of Neurosurgery and Pediatrics. In addition, Dr. Miller is actively involved in and enjoys teaching medical students, dental students, and residents. He is a member of the American Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Association, a founding member of the Society of Neuroplastic Surgery, American Academy of Craniomaxillofacial Surgeons, American College of Surgeons, American Association of Oral \& Maxillofacial Surgeon, and a diplomate of the American Board of Oral \& Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Miller is a combat veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan and continues to serve as a Colonel in the United States Army Reserve.

Dr. Lee is a Fellow of the American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics and specializes in designing and surgically placing dental implants to rehabilitate complicated intraoral and facial defects. This is one of only a few such centers in the world.
