Dr. Michael Cameron Foster, MD, FACC, is a distinguished cardiologist with over 35 years of experience in cardiovascular medicine. He earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his residency at both Indiana University Medical Center and Boston University Medical Center. Dr. Foster further specialized with a fellowship in cardiology at Tufts University School of Medicine and Boston Veterans Administration Medical Center. He is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology, holding medical license number 12914 in South Carolina. Dr. Foster practices at MUSC Health Heart \& Vascular in Columbia, SC, and is affiliated with multiple hospitals, including MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Downtown, MUSC Health Kershaw Medical Center, and Lexington Medical Center. He has served as past president of the American Heart Association's South Carolina affiliate and has held leadership roles at Providence Hospital in Columbia. Additionally, Dr. Foster is a clinical assistant professor of medicine at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and has been involved in several clinical trials related to heart failure and hyperlipidemia

Dr. Lone is an esteemed board-certified interventional cardiologist and endovascular specialist at the MUSC Health Heart and Vascular Center. He previously served in the same roles at LifePoint, Providence Hospital and South Carolina Heart Center, and as director of echocardiography previously. In addition, he served as a clinical assistant professor at USC School of Medicine, Columbia, SC. Dr. Lone is a Fellow of the Society of Coronary Angiography and Intervention (FSCAI), the American College of Cardiology (FACC), and the American College of Physicians. (FACP). He has completed several clinical studies and is currently involved in many research studies in cardiology and peripheral vascular disease. Dr. Lone received a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Government Medical College Srinagar, Kashmir. He did a postdoctoral fellowship and was a registrar in internal medicine at the same institute. He then served as a senior resident in internal medicine at SK Institute of Medical Sciences. Dr. Lone was a recipient of National Merit Scholarship and was honored with Gold Medals for First Rank in Physiology, Otorhinolaryngology and Obstetrics and Gynecology, and two Certificates of Merit from Government Medical College. Dr. Lone did his residency in internal medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine affiliated Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center in Bronx, NY., followed by a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at Montefiore Medical Center, the University Hospital for Albert Einstein College of Medicine and later fellowship in interventional cardiology at State University of New York / Downstate Health Sciences Center Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Lone has been consistently one of the busiest interventional cardiovascular specialists in Carolinas performing drug coated balloon angioplasty, atherectomy, shock wave lithotripsy and stenting. Attributing his success to his teachers and mentors, Dr. Lone remains passionate about caring for his patients and saving lives.

Dr. Venk Gottipaty is a cardiac electrophysiologist working at MUSC Downtown Columbia. He has been working there since 2001. Dr. Gottipaty completed his undergraduate at University of California with a major in physics. He then completed the MD-PhD program at Emory University. His graduate work was in the field of molecular protein modeling in biophysics. Dr. Gottipaty completed his Internal Medicine training at University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, followed by his Cardiology Fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School. He was an assistant professor at University of Pittsburgh for several years, until he moved to Columbia, South Carolina. He has extensive research experience in Biophysics, computer programming, and medical Information management. Clinically, he renders care in the management of complex cardiac arrhythmias. His areas of expertise include loss of consciousness, ambulatory ECG monitoring, complex arrhythmia management of atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, sudden death, and heart failure. He is fully versed in techniques of ablation and pacemaker/defibrillator implantation. He has focused on improving the safety and shortening the duration of arrhythmia interventional procedures, to the point of safely discharging patients to their homes, on the day of their procedure.
