MUSC Health Primary Care Elgin

Dr. Arthur Kobina Kennedy is a board-certified family medicine physician with decades of experience providing compassionate, patient-centered care across primary care, urgent care, and academic settings. He currently serves as a Primary Care Physician at MUSC Health Primary Care in Elgin, where he is dedicated to helping patients achieve and maintain optimal health through preventive care, chronic disease management, and personalized treatment plans. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Kennedy has a strong passion for medical education. He has held several academic appointments, including Senior Lecturer at the University of Cape Coast School of Medicine, where he taught and mentored advanced medical students. He has also served as adjunct faculty for the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and as a visiting professor at Antigua Health Sciences University, contributing to the training of future physicians in clinical medicine and microbiology. Dr. Kennedy completed his residency in Family Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he was honored with the Resident Teacher Award. He holds a Master of Science in Healthcare Management from the University of Texas at Dallas and earned his medical degree from Spartan Health Sciences University. He also completed foundational medical training at the University of Ghana Medical School and holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Toronto.
