Dr. David Marshall is a board-certified radiation oncologist, specializing in genitourinary and gastrointestinal cancers. He has been recognized by Castle Connolly as a Top Doctor in radiation oncology from 2016 to present. Dr. Marshall has published widely in GI and GU cancers and has brought innovative treatment options to the people of South Carolina, including Y-90 microsphere therapy and radiosurgical treatment for liver cancers, and new techniques using linked/stranded seeds for prostate cancer patients. In addition, Dr. Marshall is interested in the development of novel ways of improving accuracy of radiotherapy using new immobilization and image-guided techniques. Dr. Marshall is the chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology. He has been at MUSC for more than 15 years. He is also the associate director of the radiation oncology resident training program at MUSC, and enjoys working with residents to both improve the care of his patients and educate future radiation oncologists. He also functions as the medical director for the Clinical Trials Office at the Hollings Cancer Center, an NCI-designated cancer center. He is active in several national scientific and professional organizations, including: the American Society for Radiation Oncology, the American College of Radiation Oncology, the American Brachytherapy Society, the Southwestern Oncology Group (SWOG); and NRG Oncology.

Dr. Jennifer Harper is a radiation oncologist, certified by the American Board of Radiology. Her primary focus is in the treatment of breast cancer, sarcoma, and head and neck cancer. She also is credentialed in the use of Gamma Knife radiosurgery, with interests in its application for the treatment of brain metastasis. In the field of breast cancer, Dr. Harper has published extensively on the topic of accelerated partial breast irradiation. In 2016, she has developed a group wellness program, in collaboration with the MUSC Wellness Center, for breast cancer survivors. This ongoing program, known as The Survivors' Fit Club, seeks to facilitate the healing of mind body and spirit following breast cancer treatment. Dr. Harper is also a passionate medical educator. Her teaching efforts have been recognized with an award by the Association of Residents in Radiation Oncology. She has also received an MUSC Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award following nomination by medical students. She is also the Physician Representative for the Medical Physic Residency Program. She serves as the Department of Radiation Oncology's Quality Assurance (QA) Medical Director and has incorporated QA and medical education instruction into the residency curriculum.

Dr. Samuel Cooper is a board-certified radiation oncologist specializing in gynecological, pediatric and hematological cancers. He has brought innovative treatments to the people of South Carolina. He has also been instrumental in developing programs for MR guided interstitial brachytherapy for gynecologic malignancies, eye plaque brachytherapy for ocular tumors, interstitial brachytherapy for keloids and breath hold treatments for lymphomas of the chest and abdominal radiosurgery. In addition, Dr. Cooper has been involved in clinical trial development. Dr. Cooper is the program director of the radiation oncology resident training program at MUSC, and enjoys working with residents to both improve the care of his patients and educate future radiation oncologists. He is active in several national scientific and professional organizations including the American Society for Radiation Oncology, the American Society for Clinical Oncology, the American Radium Society, the American Brachytherapy Society, the American College of Radiation Oncology, the Children's Oncology Group and NRG Oncology.

Dr. Charlotte Rivers is a board-certified radiation oncologist specializing in the treatment of central nervous system, hematological, and skin cancers. She is experienced in the use of Gamma Knife radiosurgery for the treatment of brain metastases, as well as other conditions including meningiomas, arteriovenous malformations, acoustic neuromas, and trigeminal neuralgia. Dr. Rivers serves as a member of the multi-disciplinary central nervous system team, and works closely with neuro-oncology and neurosurgery in the treatment of patients with primary brain tumors. She also works in coordination with the hematology teams to provide total body irradiation (TBI) for both adult and pediatric patients needing bone marrow transplants. Dr. Rivers has published clinical research in the field of Gamma Knife radiosurgery which has been presented at several national and international conferences. She joined the team at MUSC in 2019, and is happy to be back in her home state to help bring the best care possible to the people of South Carolina. She is passionate about teaching and is very involved in resident education.
