Dr. Genevieve Wolpert grew up in Durham, North Carolina. She attended Cornell University in Ithaca, NY where she studied biology. She worked in Washington, DC after college and then completed a master's degree in global health at Duke University. She trained at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill for medical school and at MUSC for residency. She joined the OBGYN faculty at MUSC where she enjoys providing pregnancy and gynecology care for women in Charleston.

Jennifer Hirchert has lived in the Charleston area since 2006, where she attended nursing school and worked as a labor and delivery nurse at MUSC. She received her masters degree in nurse-midwifery from East Carolina University in 2012 and spent the first decade of her midwifery career at Charleston Birth Place. She has now returned to MUSC, with a special interest in helping patients find the right contraception for them and providing OB-GYN care for the LGBTQIA+ population.

Dr. Charles Rittenberg joined MUSC Women's Care as a maternal fetal medicine specialist in 2009. Dr. Rittenberg graduated undergrad from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with degrees in political science and computer science. He received his masters in mathematics from the University of Charleston. He completed his medical school training, residency, and maternal fetal medicine fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Rittenberg's interests include preterm birth prevention, twins, cervical length ultrasound, and health care delivery systems.

Eugene Yin-Min Chang, M.D.

Dr. Eugene Chang joined MUSC Women's Care as a maternal fetal medicine specialist in 2005 and has focused on fetal complications in pregnancy since that time. Dr. Chang graduated undergrad from the University of Virginia. He graduated medical school from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia. His residency and fellowship training were completed at the Medical University of South Carolina.Dr. Chang focused most of his research efforts on detecting growth abnormalities and ways to prevent cerebral palsy in at-risk unborn babies while maintaining an interest in detecting and evaluating fetal abnormalities and helping families manage these pregnancies. Recently he has also pursued training in order to offer treatment for twin-twin transfusions.Dr. Change knows that many medical specialists can be needed during such pregnancies, making coordination challenging. In complex cases, for instance, balancing the best care for both mother and baby can be difficult. For this reason, he partnered with pediatric cardiologist Dr. Sinai Zyblewski to create MUSC Health's Advanced Fetal Care Center.Dr. Chang's interests include hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, preterm birth, intrauterine growth restriction, thrombophilia, and ultrasound oxidative stress.

Dr. Brittany Austin grew up in Harveys Lake, Pennsylvania. She attended the University of Pittsburgh where she graduated summa cum laude with her Bachelor of Science in chemistry. From there, she earned her medical degree at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine in Scranton, Pennsylvania. She went on to complete her residency training in Obstetrics \& Gynecology and her fellowship training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Austin provides comprehensive high-risk obstetric care. Her primary clinical interests include ultrasound diagnosis, hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, fetal growth restriction, and application of artificial intelligence in medicine.

Donna Denise Johnson, M.D.

Dr. Donna Johnson joined MUSC in 1996 as a maternal-fetal medicine specialist in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Johnson did her undergraduate work at Furman University and graduated medical school from MUSC. She completed her residency and her maternal-fetal medicine fellowship at University of California-San Diego. In 2012, she was appointed the Lawrence L. Hester professor and chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Johnson's interests include placental growth and development, pre-eclampsia and recurrent pregnancy loss.

Sarah Shea, M.D.

Dr. Sarah Shea grew up in West Hartford, Connecticut. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts. From there, she attended medical school at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania. She then went on to complete her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology and her fellowship training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Dr. Shea provides comprehensive high-risk obstetric care. She really enjoys spending time explaining medicine to her patients, which she believes empowers them to make the best decisions for themselves and their families. Her primary clinical interests include multiple gestation, fetal growth restriction, and preeclampsia.
