Kristeen Hillier, DNP, ANP-BC

About
Kristeen Hillier joined MUSC Women's Health in 2023 after serving and caring for the women of the Lowcountry in Summerville since 2011. Dr. Hillier earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Salve Regina University in 1995. She gained extensive experience in cardiopulmonary medicine and high-risk obstetrics and gynecology at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston before returning to school to become a nurse practitioner.
She received a Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Adult and Women's Health from MGH Institute of Health Professions in 2001. She completed the Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Tennessee Chattanooga in 2017. She is board certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She enjoys providing well women care and educating women of all ages about breast health and preventative health care. She also has a special interest in caring for high risk OB/GYN patients and contraceptive care.

Megann Kathleen Helton-Rieter, M.D.

Dr. Megann Helton-Rieter joined MUSC Women's Health as an OB/GYN in 2015. After receiving her undergraduate degree from the College of Charleston, she completed medical school and residency training at MUSC. Dr. Helton-Rieter provides comprehensive obstetrics and gynecological services, and her special interests include family planning, pregnancy care including vaginal birth after contraception and Cesarean, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.

Victoria Keiser, M.D.

Dr. Victoria Keiser grew up in East Hanover, New Jersey. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Physiology from Boston University. She attended medical school at Virginia Commonwealth University. She then went on to complete her residency training in Obstetrics \& Gynecology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. During her training, Dr. Keiser gained interest in reducing health disparities and improving outcomes for marginalized patient populations, particularly patients experiencing homelessness and substance use disorders. Dr. Keiser provides comprehensive and evidence-based OBGYN care. Her primary clinical interests include minimally invasive GYN surgery, abnormal uterine bleeding, contraception, and obstetrics. She is active in the training of both medical students and residents.

Michael Moxley, M.D.

Dr. Michael D. Moxley is an Obstetrician-Gynecologist who attended the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA., for both undergraduate and medical school. He completed his residency in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. From the beginning, his career has been built on high-quality, compassionate, equitable, and respectful care for all. He ensures these values by maintaining several regional and national leadership positions. He is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) Voluntary Review of Quality of Care Program and the ACOG District IV Health Equity Reflective Committee. Outside of leadership roles, Dr. Moxley continues his advocacy for patients of underserved communities as a bilingual (English, Spanish) physician volunteer in the Tricounty area and as a nationwide clinical instructor and mentor. Born and raised in the South, Dr. Moxley understands that partnerships with hospitals, community leaders, current and future clinicians, and patients are essential to the success of healthcare systems and the communities they serve. Dr. Moxley is excited to continue providing prenatal and preventive care in the Lowcountry and is honored to care for more complicated conditions as they arise.

Lauren H Carter, Ph.D.

Dr. Lauren Carter is a licensed clinical psychologist. She received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Florida State University. Dr. Carter completed her predoctoral internship at the Charleston Consortium Clinical Psychology Internship Program (MUSC and Ralph Johnson VA) and her postdoctoral fellowship specializing in behavioral medicine at MUSC. Following her fellowship in behavioral medicine, Dr. Carter joined the faculty at MUSC in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Division of Bio-Behavioral Medicine. Dr. Carter's clinical practice specializes in assessment and intervention that is focused on optimizing quality of life in patients who are experiencing a variety of medical and psychiatric conditions. She currently sees patients in the Institute of Psychiatry and Women's Health at Resolute Way, primarily working with the following populations: bariatric (pre-/post- surgery), eating and weight disorders, solid organ transplant (pre-/post- transplant), chronic pain, women's health, and co-occurring substance use disorders within these populations. ,In addition to patient care, Dr. Carter is currently active in clinical research and training. She serves as a supervisor in the Behavioral Medicine Clinic and the Women's Reproductive Behavioral Health Clinic for the Charleston Consortium Clinical Psychology Internship Program. Her research interests focus broadly on eating and weight disorders, exercise, quality of life, and behavioral medicine.
