Erin Castellano, NP, is a board-certified adult nurse practitioner with nearly two decades of experience providing care to adults across South Carolina. She specializes in preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and patient education, with a focus on helping each patient understand and take an active role in their health. Erin earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing, where she completed a specialty in adult cardiovascular care. She also holds a Master of Science in Exercise Science from Middle Tennessee State University and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Exercise Science from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, with concentrations in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and fitness/Wellness. Since 2008, Erin has cared for patients in a variety of clinical settings,including rural health, primary care, and cardiology, earning a reputation for her approachable manner and thorough, patient-centered approach. Erin is nationally certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in South Carolina. She also holds certification from the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (NRCME) to perform Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals. She attended Claflin University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and later attended the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, where she earned a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. During her matriculation at MUSC, she traveled to South Africa on two separate occasions for medical mission work where she had the opportunity to provide medical care for orphans and other community members in the region of eManzana (formerly known as Badplaas) and Eswatini (formerly known as Swaziland). She has always desired to work in a rural community, as she has extensive family roots in both, Allendale and Fairfax County.
