Carnes Crossroads Primary Care is open. We are pleased to offer in-person appointments and online video visits for both new and returning patients. Schedule a visit with your providers by calling 843-876-7930. We will continue to provide expanded online care options throughout the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and afterward to meet the medical needs of the Lowcountry community. Our Summerville care team specializes in Family Medicine, care for the whole family, and Internal Medicine, care for patients ages 18 and older. Patients will find thorough, accessible, and complete medical care for acute illnesses, chronic diseases, preventive health maintenance, and access to any MUSC Health specialists needed. Patients will appreciate the convenience of phlebotomy available at this location. This practice is located at the entrance of the Carnes Crossroads neighborhood, just off of N Main Street (ALT 17).

Jeanne Griffin Hill, M.D. is professor of radiology and pediatrics, division director of pediatric radiology, and director of medical student education for the Department of Radiology and Radiologic Science at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. Dr. Hill received her BA from Duke University and M.D. from MUSC. She completed her diagnostic radiology residency training, served as chief resident, and completed pediatric radiology fellowship training at MUSC. She is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology and has earned two certificates of added qualification in pediatric radiology. Among her awards and honors are membership in AOA, the National Medical Honor Society, and MUSC Radiology Department Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Teaching. She was also a finalist for the MUSC College of Medicine's Clinical Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Teaching. Dr. Hill has also been named among The Best Doctors in America, 2001 to 2015, one of America's Top Radiologists, and Who's Who Among America's Teachers.Dr. Hill has published articles and abstracts in a variety of journals, including the American Journal of Radiology, Radiographics, Pediatric Radiology, Clinical Radiology, Pediatric Emergency Medicine, and Academic Medicine. She has received two RSNA education grants, served as an oral board examiner for the pediatric section of the American Board of Radiology and is a member of several scholarly societies including the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the American Roentgen Ray Society, the Society for Pediatric Radiology, and the Association of University Radiologists.Dr. Hill is very active in the local community where she has worked in the public and private schools mentoring middle school and high school students interested in medical careers. William F. Conway, M.D. Ph.D. is professor of radiology and serves as the section head of musculoskeletal radiology and director of Rutledge Tower, Outpatient and Outreach Radiology at the Medical University of South Carolina. In 1973, Dr. Conway received a BS in biophysics from Brown University and entered the University of Chicago where he received a Ph.D. (Genetics) in 1979 and an M.D. in 1981. Following graduation, he completed an internship and part of an orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Iowa. Subsequently, Dr. Conway went on to complete a residency in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology, Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri. In 1987, he went to the Medical College of Virginia as assistant professor of radiology and was promoted to the rank of associate professor in 1991. In 1993, he came to the Medical University of South Carolina and was promoted to his current rank in 1995. Since that time, Dr. Conway has served in varying capacities within the Department of Radiology including: co-director of the residency program, vice-chairman of clinical activities and associate chairman of research. In 2006, he received the department's Golden Apple teaching award. Over the years, Dr. Conway has published over 100 articles, book chapters, and abstracts in such journals as Radiology, American Journal of Roentgenology and Skeletal Radiology. He has also served on the editorial boards of Radiology and The Radiologist. From 1994 to 1998, Dr. Conway was a member of the executive committee of The Society of Skeletal Radiology and from 1996 to 1998 was its president. Currently, he serves as an examiner for the American Board of Radiology.

Following medical school and house physician positions at Westminster Medical School, London, England, Dr. Costello began his North American career in radiology at the University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He is board certified in radiology and nuclear medicine, practicing for many years at the New England Deaconess Hospital in Boston. Dr. Costello was director of computed tomography and thoracic imaging at the Deaconess Hospital until 1996. During this time he became nationally and internationally known for his research on computed tomography of the body. He established a revolutionary CT research program which pioneered the introduction of this new technology into clinical practice. In 1996 Dr. Costello was recruited to join the leadership of Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Adelaide, South Australia as director of diagnostic radiology, where over a three year period he successfully reorganized the hospital's program. In 1999 Dr. Costello returned to Harvard Medical School as chief of thoracic imaging at Brigham and Women's Hospital, where he was appointed professor of radiology. Dr. Costello joined MUSC in 2004 as professor and chairman of radiology. His clinical research endeavors have focused on cardio-pulmonary imaging. MUSC Radiology has become both nationally and internationally recognized as a strong academic program.
