Karen M Helland, MD

Karen Helland, M.D. earned her undergraduate and medical degree at the University of Minnesota. She went on to complete her internship at Boston City Hospital and her residency at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN. Dr. Helland is board certified in internal medicine. Prior to joining Piedmont Physicians, Dr. Helland practiced internal medicine in the Atlanta area for over 19 years. Her special interests include hypertension, diabetes, preventive medicine and women's health. She enjoys getting to know her patients and helping them to optimize their health. In her spare time, Dr. Helland enjoys cooking, reading, travel and spending time with her kids.
