Ankit J Kansagra, MD
Dr. Ankit Kansagra is a triple board-certified hematologist-oncologist and a nationally recognized leader in multiple myeloma, amyloidosis and cellular therapies. He joins Tampa General Hospital from UT Southwestern Medical Center – Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center, where he built and led multidisciplinary programs that set a national standard of care in these diseases.
Dr. Kansagra has served as assistant director of outpatient stem cell and cellular therapy and co-founded a nationally recognized multidisciplinary amyloidosis program. His research has contributed to multiple FDA approvals, shaped international clinical guidelines and appeared in leading peer-reviewed journals including JAMA and the Journal of Clinical Oncology. He leads national initiatives through organizations such as the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and has served as principal investigator on investigator-initiated and global clinical trials that have helped bring next-generation therapies to patients in both academic and community settings.
At the TGH Cancer Institute, he offers patients personalized, evidence-based care alongside access to advanced cellular and immunotherapies and cutting-edge clinical trials.
