Chau Nguyen Hoang Thuy Vo, M.D.

Chau N. Vo, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology, Section of Cardiac Electrophysiology, at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). She specializes in complex cardiac arrhythmias, advanced catheter ablation, cardiac device therapies, and left atrial appendage occlusion. Dr. Vo's clinical expertise includes ablation of atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), and complex ventricular arrhythmias, including ventricular tachycardia (VT) and VT storm. Her interests encompass substrate-based mapping, epicardial and intramural arrhythmias, imaging-guided ablation, and ventricular arrhythmias in patients with advanced heart failure and left ventricular assist devices (LVADs). She also implants and manages pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs), and cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) devices. Her research explores advanced cardiac imaging, novel energy sources, and emerging ablation and device technologies. She contributes to peer-reviewed publications, scientific abstracts, and clinical research, with an emphasis on complex ventricular arrhythmias and advanced ablation strategies. Dr. Vo speaks at national, regional, and local cardiovascular and electrophysiology conferences, including HRS, ACC, and EP/IEP meetings. Her presentations address complex arrhythmia management, emerging technologies, and challenging clinical cases. Through clinical care, research, and education, she is committed to improving arrhythmia treatment and training the next generation of cardiac electrophysiologists.
