Cheti Dev, MD

Dr. Dev Cheti is an interventional radiologist who specializes in minimally invasive, image-guided treatments designed to help patients recover faster, reduce pain, and avoid surgery whenever possible. He treats a wide range of conditions using advanced catheter-based techniques and has particular expertise in embolization procedures, including prostate artery embolization (PAE) for enlarged prostate, uterine fibroid embolization, and genicular artery embolization for chronic knee pain. His additional clinical interests include interventional oncology, peripheral arterial disease, venous disease, dialysis access management, and image-guided biopsies and drainage procedures. Dr. Cheti is board certified in both Diagnostic Radiology and Interventional Radiology/Diagnostic Radiology. He earned his medical degree from Meharry Medical College and completed both his Diagnostic Radiology residency and Interventional Radiology training at Beaumont Hospital, one of the nation's premier high-volume training programs. There, he gained extensive experience performing complex minimally invasive procedures and caring for patients with a broad range of vascular, oncologic, and musculoskeletal conditions. Before joining Medical University of South Carolina, Dr. Cheti practiced in a busy private practice environment, treating patients across emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings. His approach combines technical expertise with compassionate, patient-centered care. He believes patients deserve clear communication, thoughtful guidance, and individualized treatment plans tailored to their goals and quality of life. Dr. Cheti is passionate about expanding access to advanced minimally invasive therapies that can improve outcomes while minimizing downtime and recovery. He works closely with multidisciplinary care teams and referring physicians to ensure patients receive comprehensive, coordinated care from diagnosis through recovery.
