Edward McCutcheon, M.D., MHA

Dr. Edward McCutcheon is a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. Dr. McCutcheon joined MUSC in early 2020 after serving as the Medical Director for Atrium Health University City in Charlotte, NC. He also served as the Atrium Health System Medical Executive Committee Chair and was President of the Medical and Dental Staff for Atrium Health University City. Dr. McCutcheon received his Master's in Healthcare Administration at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He completed his Emergency Medicine residency at MCP Hahnemann University School of Medicine/Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He received his medical degree from the West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown, WV. Dr. McCutcheon graduated summa cum laude from the West Virginia University School of Engineering with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
