Maybe I am wrong but I did not feel much was explained. The doctor suggested seeing a nutritionist but did not mention seeing any specific one. I am not sure how it works. During the consultation, the doctor was mostly looking into a computer and a few times at me, which made the consultation seem impersonal. I was asked whether I brought my blood sugar meter with me, which I had to negate because nobody had told that I had to bring it. In the past I was told to bring my blood sugar log but never my meter.. I thought maybe a log might not be as believable as a blood sugar meter that one looks into to detect numbers. It feels like control because one may not believe the numbers on a log. I did not feel a real connection because I felt my input may not be as important as numbers. I do not mean to express a negative critique but just how I felt. I believe listening to a patient is more important than just viewing numbers. The numbers may give you an image of the bio chemistry but what a patient tells you has to do with how a condition is lived. Sorry for my critique; I do not mean anything bad.

Dr. Ensminger is amazing. I have already referred my sister to her. She always starts the appointment on time. She is prepared and knows my history as well as where we left off at the last appointment. She gives plenty of time for me to express my concerns and ask questions. I never feel rushed. I always leave my appointment with a clear understanding of what our plan of action is.

Endo is good. Finally have a diabetic dr that listens, looks at my chart & has a back n forth on treatment.

Dr. Ensingmer didn't even property introduce herself to me when entering the room. Her back was to me as she came in. She didn't engage until I said hello, how are you. Very short with me. Didn't look at me and whn she did, her face was like I was an annoyance.

I am an established patient at TGH and have consistently had positive experiences with the staff and providers. However, my recent visit with Dr. Ensminger was extremely disappointing and unlike any previous visits. When she entered the room, she introduced herself without making eye contact and her back towards me. Dr. Ensminger's tone and demeanor suggested disinterest or irritation, as if she were unhappy to be there. Her bedside manner lacked warmth and professionalism. Unfortunately the atmosphere during this visit made me feel both unwelcome and uneasy. Dr. Ensminger dismissed my concerns rather abruptly, stating that my symptoms were simply a result of my age and that there was nothing she could do, nor any need for follow-up with her ever again. The tone in her voice sounded condescending and dismissive. I felt as though she questioned why I was even there. Overall, the interaction felt rushed and impersonal, lacking the empathy and mutual respect that are essential to a strong patient doctor relationship. I left feeling unheard and discouraged.
