Dr. Jean Bismuth started his Vascular Surgery career in his hometown of Copenhagen, Denmark and has spent the last 17 years in Houston, Texas. Dr. Bismuth was able to address my deep concerns about not being okay, despite having had back-to-back surgeries in November, and was able to answer every question I had. I left with a plan of action, my questions answered, and my needs met. I was very impressed and wish he was my surgeon from the start.

She had no idea about my medical history. Felt it was a waste of my time. Looked at my scar. Briefly talked about my ultrasound. When I had questions she used general information not pertaining to me

Dr. Bismuth is an answered prayer. He had already looked at my scans and knew what the problems were that no other doctor had noticed. I feel confident in his ability to perform this surgery so I can get relief! He is very funny and has wonderful bedside manner!

Dr. Gene business Smith is an amazing doctor. You're very lucky very fortunate to have him on your staff. He's very thorough very kind very inquisitive willing to solve problems not just push them off on other Drs. Without him, I can honestly tell you I would not be coming back to this hospital

I would definitely recommend Dr. Bismuth for the vascular surgery needs of anyone I know. In my opinion, he is the best! He was kind and understanding of my needs. He clearly communicated the options to correct the issue and explained how each would be performed. He is patient and super compassionate! TGH & USF Health is lucky to have him on staff! He is the BEST!

Dr. Bismuth did an excellent job going over details of how he interpreted my results and my situation with a right carotid stent failure. He provided his expert opinion on the best recommended intervention to address the failed stent. I understood his point of view and am strongly considering his alternate recommendation. He took time to go over the CT images with me in detail so that I would better understanding where things currently stand with the stent that is in place which has failed.
