Dr. Jeffrey Lester graduated from the University of South Florida with a bachelor degree in finance in 1996. He returned to USF in 1997 to earn a degree in chemistry, completed in 2004. Dr. Lester attended Ross University School of Medicine and graduated with a doctor of medicine degree in June 2004. In July 2004 he started his internal medicine residency at the University of Oklahoma in Tulsa and became board certified in internal medicine in 2007. He completed his training in medical genetics at the University of Miami in 2009. In November 2009 Dr. Lester moved to Maryland and worked for Family Health Centers of Baltimore, a small community health center serving with the National Health Service Corps for three years treating low income, indigent patients in internal medicine. In September 2013 Dr. Lester joined the Tampa General Medical Group to open the Sun City Center location. He is a general internist and sees patients 18 years of age and older.

Dr. Lester was a bit cold and dry during care for my husband and I. Very unmindful of commentary regarding vaccination preferences and recommendations such as "don't drink don't smoke" were not very productive

Dr Lester was very thorough, and he asked allot of questions to be able to determine my current status of health, and made great recommendations of remedial steps that I should take to get in better health. HE WAS GREAT AND HAD GREAT BEDSIDE MANNERS!!

When I needed a primary care doctor, my family recommended Dr. Lester. I was impressed with his office staff. His medical assistant, Melissa C was very efficient while having an extremely pleasant demeanor! As soon as Dr. Lester walked in and began to speak with me I felt very comfortable sharing my health issues with him He was extremely knowledgeable and take time to fully explain things. I am very confident in him.

Can sound very condescending at times. Literally asking for medications to help me, and not up to date with new medication trials or studies. Have been in healthcare and pharmaceutical for 22 years and felt like I was talked to like a child

Dr. Lester was nothing short of amazing. He addressed all our concerns. Made the room feel comfortable from the beginning. He was very thorough in all the blood work he ordered. Dr. Lester also continued to update me on results as they were coming in. I had seen OB the week after and he went above and beyond to check on my ultrasound and let me know it looked good.

The approx 7 min the dr. Was in the room he may have looked at me 3 times. The rest of the time he was on the computer. Awkward at times sitting staring at the wall with no communication. He never smiled. His bedside manner could use some workas a nurse I know what good communication can be..I felt as though he was doing me a favor for being in the room.

Dr.Lester was exceptional. I never felt more comfortable with a doctor. He introduced himself with a smile and a hand shake. It was my first time seeing him and he was a pleasure to talk to from start to finish. He listened to me intently and with great concern. He answered all of my questions and never made me feel like I was taking up too much of his time. He is definitely in the right profession.
