Dr. Gadea is a board-certified internal medicine physician. He completed his undergraduate degree in biology at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. Dr. Gadea went on to complete his medical degree in osteopathic medicine at Nova-Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine in Davie, FL and an internal medicine residency at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, PA.

Dr. Gadea has practiced as a primary care physician in the Tampa Bay area since 1998, providing care for adult and geriatric patients. For over six years, he served as a medical director for a private/public collaboration between the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) and Pfizer pharmaceutical company leading a disease management program specifically designed to help a large group of patients suffering from chronic medical conditions such as congestive heart failure and diabetes to better understand their medical conditions and health needs in order to better care for themselves and improve their quality of life.

Dr. Gadea's professional interests include individualized diabetes care, hypertension, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and hyperlipidemia. He focuses on preventive health and patient education, and encourages his patients to take an active part in their healthcare plan.

Dr. Gadea has received numerous 'Patients Choice Awards' and was recently recognized as one of 'America's Best Physicians' by the National Consumer Advisory Board. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and has received recognition from the National Committee for Quality Assurance for diabetes care. He is fluent in English and Spanish.

Outside of the office, Dr. Gadea enjoys exercising, fishing and travelling with his family.

Dr. Gadea is the best doctor I have ever seen. He cares about his patients like no other doctor. He is patient, understanding, knowledgeable and takes the time to read all the notes from all of my other doctors. You can't find this level of care with other doctors.

Dr. Gadea is an absolute treasure of a provider. He listens carefully and repeats in a way you know he truly listened. He shows genuine care and is incredibly friendly. He is thorough when he examines and explains things to such a great degree you really understand what's going on. He's also incredibly open to discussing your care plan and any changes or things you would like to try. He's absolutely excellent. The only downside is how difficult it can be to get an appointment.

Dr. Gadea is everything a PCP should be: kind, caring, knowledgable and supportive of my husband, the patient, and me, the caregiver. My husband has Alzheimer's disease, and is often anxious about doctor appointments. Not when he visits Dr. Gadea - my husband is so happy to see him, he gets a little giddy and silly, hoping to make him laugh. Dr. Gadea patiently manages the appointment, and gets him to talk about how he is feeling. And he really listens, showing empathy and offering guidance and his professional insights. My husband says he always feels better when he visits Dr. Gadea. Me too!

Dr. Gadea was awesome. He listened to my concerns about my knee pain and my family history of knee issues. He performed a thorough examination of my knee flexibility and where my pain point was, and he came up with a plan of action to address the medical issue. I was very nervous but his mannerism was a great blend of knowledge, caring, and professionalism.
