Linda Maynard, MD

Dr. Linda Maynard is a board-certified internal medicine specialist who brings a wealth of health care experience to Tampa General Medical Group. She earned a medical degree in 1993 from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. Dr. Maynard interned with the University of Michigan Department of Internal Medicine in Ann Arbor, then completed her residency at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Department of Internal Medicine, also in Ann Arbor.
Dr. Maynard has been practicing in Florida for 21 years. She most recently served as a physician with the Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System in Pensacola, FL. Prior to that, she utilized her expertise as a physician for her own private solo practice for seven years in Tallahassee and for nine years in Sarasota with privileges at their respective hospitals. Her past work experience includes medical consulting to review data and make recommendations for the U.S. Social Security Administration Department of Disability Determinations while practicing in Tallahassee. Her first position in Florida was with Florida Health Care Plans, Inc. in Daytona Beach. Before moving to Florida, she was employed by Arbor Medical Group/Mercy Primary Care after completing residency at the associated hospital. She worked as a research associate in a molecular biology lab prior to and during medical school.
Dr. Maynard's interests outside of work include gardening, writing, crafts, and cooking for her husband and son.
