Idiopathic Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (iNPH) is a syndrome with gait disturbance,cognitive impairment, and urinary symptoms that frequently resemble other disorders seen in the elderly such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. The prevalence of iNPH is reported to be 0.5% to 2.9% in the elderly. 70 to 80 % of patients diagnosed with iNPH improve with. ventricular shunting. The USF Hydrocephalus Clinic strives to improve patient selection and outcomes of patients with iNPH.

2 Appointments with Dr Abel. Both were Excellent. She has a mind for detail which show in the exam and her reports. When I was unclear (the "why"), she was able to explain the testing and her opinion well and to my satisfaction. I am very comfortable with the exam, reports, and her valued opinion. THANK YOU.
