Dr. Kolanko is a board-certified family medicine physician and fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice. He completed his medical degree at the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland in 1999, and a residency in family practice at Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center in Chicago, IL in 2008.

Dr. Kolanko most recently practiced at Kenosha Community Health Center as well as served on staff at Aurora Medical Center in obstetrics, performing over 200 deliveries. His experience also includes work in a variety of medical settings including PrimeCare Community Health Center in Chicago, IL and Indiana University Cancer Research Institute, as well as work in emergency services and outpatient surgery in Poland. Dr. Kolanko's medical interests include primary care, treatment coordination of chronic diseases, obstetrics, urgent care and small surgical procedures. He is a member of the American Cancer Society.

Outside the office, Dr. Kolanko enjoys the outdoors, travelling, spending time with family and friends, and flying planes as a private pilot. An avid runner, he has completed several half marathons and one full marathon with plans for more. He is fluent in English and Polish.

Dr. Kolanko treats patients of all ages.

I had a wonderful experience during my visit. Both the Dr Kolanko and the nurse practitioner Katharine Kelly were very nice and caring. Talking with them felt so comfortable, almost like talking with family members. The doctor Kolanko patiently went over my test results and explained everything clearly. He also gave me different treatment choices and carefully explained the benefits and possible side effects of each one. I really appreciated that he involved me in the decision-making process and made me feel like I was part of my own care team instead of just being told what to do. The nurse practitioner Katerina Kelly was incredibly sweet and very thorough. She spent a lot of time getting to know my health history, lifestyle, and my goals for becoming healthier. She truly listened and cared. She even went out of her way to help me deal with a problem with my CPAP machine company that had been going on for about 9 months and was affecting both my health and my credit. I'm very grateful for their kindness, patience, and dedication. It's rare to find healthcare providers who care this much about their patients. Highly recommend!

After consulting several specialists and enduring a number of medical tests, once again Dr. Kolanko was able to get to the heart of my medical issues and provide answers and help. This is the 2nd time over the years (5) under his care that I've received the best care from him as opposed to the specialists and their battery of tests. Most importantly, his careful questioning, patient listening and medical expertise have yielded results in improved health for me. He takes his much in demand time to listen, engage, and offer solutions that work. We feel very blessed to have found him.
