Raabia Ahmad, MD, FACC, is originally from Missouri, where she attended college at Washington University. After completing her bachelor's degree, she attended medical school at Drexel University in Pennsylvania.


Dr. Ahmad then completed her residency and cardiology fellowship at Tufts Medical Center. After completing her medical training, she worked in the Mass General Brigham system for five years before moving to the Bay Area in search of warmer weather. She joined El Camino Health Cardiovascular Specialists in 2021 and has since taken on several administrative roles, including Medical Director of El Camino Health Cardiovascular Specialists and Medical Director of the Heart Failure Program at El Camino Health.


Dr. Ahmad is board certified in cardiovascular disease, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. She has a special clinical interest in congestive heart failure, preventive cardiology, women's heart disease, cardiac imaging and valvular disease. She strives to connect with her patients on a personal level, educate them on their condition and guide them in joint clinical decision making.


In her free time, Dr. Ahmad enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children, traveling and hiking.

The truth is that Dr. He is an eminence, I really liked how he attended to me, the time he dedicated to listening to me and giving me answers to my questions and above all and most importantly for me that he ordered more studies to be able to rule out any pathology and I loved that because I had gone for 2 years with others and if the first study came out more or less up to that point they left it and told me everything is fine when in reality You as a patient know and know that something is not 100 percent for everything I am very delighted with this Dr. And I want to continue being her patient if she wants to, thank you very much because finally someone cares about doing more studies for me, thank you very much.

This is my first time speaking to my creatologist. I thought it was right away, that she was very confident and professional I couldn't ask for a better experience. Family knowledgeable and put me at least immediately! I know that I picked the right position for my health concerns. I have great companies and her abilities. Explained my issues and the health plan going forward. I feel very lucky to have this person in charge of my health care.
