Ryan Patrick Lawson, D.O.

Dr. Ryan Lawson is a diagnostic radiologist with a clinical focus on cardiothoracic imaging. He specializes in imaging of the heart, lungs, and chest, helping physicians diagnose and manage a wide range of medical conditions. His work supports patient care by providing clear, accurate imaging interpretations that guide treatment decisions. Dr. Lawson earned his medical degree from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he developed a strong foundation in patient-centered care and whole-person medicine. He completed his internship at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, gaining broad clinical experience caring for patients with diverse medical needs in both inpatient and emergency settings. He is completing his residency training in diagnostic radiology at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). During residency, Dr. Lawson has gained extensive experience across all major imaging modalities, including X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound, while training in a high-volume academic medical center. To further specialize, Dr. Lawson is completing a cardiothoracic imaging fellowship in the Cardiothoracic Division at MUSC. This advanced training focuses on imaging of the heart and chest, including cardiac CT and MRI, thoracic CT, and imaging of pulmonary and vascular disease. His fellowship experience allows him to provide detailed evaluations that support the care of patients with complex heart and lung conditions. Dr. Lawson's clinical interests include cardiac imaging, thoracic imaging, and the use of advanced imaging to support early diagnosis and effective treatment planning. He works closely with cardiologists, pulmonologists, surgeons, and other healthcare providers to ensure imaging studies are tailored to each patient.
