Thomas Busch, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician. He offers personalized, full-spectrum care for patients of all ages - from newborns to older adults.


Dr. Busch specializes in managing chronic (long-term) conditions such as high blood pressure (hypertension), diabetes and obesity. He also treats acute (sudden) illnesses and injuries. His goal is to help people thrive at every stage of life.


Dr. Busch provides a range of women's health services, including prenatal care and gynecologic exams. Passionate about preventive care, he emphasizes screenings, vaccinations, mental health support and lifestyle counseling. This way, patients can stay ahead of illness and feel their best.


From complex condition management to routine check-ups, Dr. Busch addresses the unique needs of each patient he sees. Together, they create a plan for lasting wellness. "Meaningful care starts with a strong partnership, empathy and open communication," he explains.


Before becoming a physician, Dr. Busch worked as a molecular biologist and researcher. This scientific foundation guides his evidence-based approach to care.


Dr. Busch was born at El Camino Hospital and grew up nearby in Cupertino, in the heart of Silicon Valley. After completing medical training on the East Coast, he's proud to return home and care for the diverse, vibrant communities in the South Bay Area.


Dr. Busch is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and an affiliate of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). He has received several honors and awards for his academic excellence and dedication to service.


Outside of work, Dr. Busch is an outdoor enthusiast. He enjoys trail hiking, mountain biking, running and skiing.

Dr. Busch couldn't have treated me any better. He listened to what I said and was very respectful and thoughtful. He was true to his word and responded immediately with explanations about my test results. I recommend that my wife switch doctors to see him.

Dr. Busch was simply outstanding! He has warm patient interaction and listened intently to what I was saying and sharing. He then thoughtfully explained the treatment optionswith a clear understanding of the risks and benefits. Dr Busch is so very good. He took time to listen to to my whole problem first and then he asked meaningful questions. After which he gave great advice. Both my wife and I think that Dr Bush is the top of the top Primary Care Doctors. It seems that he goes out of the way to really help.

Dr. Busch took the time to explain his theory for the cause of my symptoms and pulled up a diagram on the computer screen to help me understand. The labs he ordered confirmed that he was correct, and he immediately followed up to make sure I was able to see a specialist in a timely manner.

I felt incredibly listened to by Dr Busch. He gave me space to explain how I was feeling and everything that had happened, without making me feel rushed. He involved me in care decisions, clearly explained what he saw, his theory of why, and his plan to fix it. He gave me time for questions, and made sure I understood the treatment plan before I left.
