Carl Dean McCurdy, MD

Dr. McCurdy earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine and received his undergraduate degree from Shorter College in Rome. After finishing his internship and residency at the Medical Center in Columbus, Georgia, Dr. McCurdy moved to Jasper where he has lived and practiced for over 25 years. He is board-certified in family practice.

Dr. McCurdy takes a special interest in the interface between physical, emotional and spiritual health and is dedicated to assisting his patients in living a long, healthy, meaningful life. He also has a special interest in unexplained symptoms and problem diagnoses. He strongly believes in patient education and helping patients understand the complexities of their illnesses.

In his spare time, Dr. McCurdy enjoys music and reading. He reads at least two books a week and stays current on many journals, newspapers, and magazines. He has four grown children and enjoys walks with his dog, Dr. Bud. Dr. McCurdy is accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans.
