Alyssa Brown is a Florida native, who was born and raised in Sarasota. Dr. Brown graduated from the University of Florida in 2007 magna cum laude with a bachelor of science in Food Science and Human Nutrition. She then received her doctorate of medicine from the University of South Florida College of Medicine. While at USF, she pursued a scholarly concentration in the study of Health Disparities. Dr. Brown went on the complete her residency in 2015 at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. While in residency, Dr. Brown was awarded numerous honors including chief resident of the year and the ACOG Creighton L. Edwards MD award for compassionate care.
She returned to Florida as an Assistant Professor within the division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology. She also has an administrative appointments as the Vice Chief of Obstetrics Gynecology at Tampa General Hospital and currently serves as the Associate Program Director for the USF Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program.

Dr. Alyssa Brown was great. She was kind and showed concern for what was going on. She even referred my daughter to a different provider she thought we be better at handling the problem. This was greatly appreciated. It's nice when a provider can realize they are unsure of something and send you to someone who can instead of just trying to make money off of you and never fixing the problem. Dr. Brown you are still the best in my book. Thank you so much!!

Dr. Brown is by far one of the brightest and kindest providers I have had as part of my medical team. She listens to the patient's concerns and educates on conditions or treatment plan. She truly is a gem and USFTGP is so lucky to have her. I reccomend her to anyone looking for a women's health provider!
