Brenden Drerup, M.D.

Dr. Brenden Drerup, M.D. is an anesthesiologist who focuses on providing safe, high-quality care for patients undergoing surgery. He earned his medical degree from Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine where he was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society before he then completed his anesthesiology residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. His clinical interests include general anesthesia, perioperative pain control, and interventional pain management. During his training, he cared for a wide range of patients, from healthy individuals to those with complex medical conditions, across many types of surgery. He has experience with advanced monitoring, airway management, and ultrasound-guided procedures. He works closely with surgeons, nurses, and other team members to ensure each patient is comfortable, safe, and well cared for before, during, and after their procedure. Dr. Drerup takes a patient-focused approach to care. He understands that surgery can be stressful and makes it a priority to explain the anesthesia plan in clear, simple terms. His goal is to ensure every patient feels safe, informed, and well cared for throughout their surgical experience.
