Cristin Swords Adams, D.O., MPH

Dr. Cristin Swords Adams is a board-certified family medicine physician who provides care to both children and adults. Her scope of practice includes well and preventative care, acute and sick visit care, and chronic disease management. She also performs minor office procedures including joint injections, dermatological procedures, women's health procedures, and osteopathic manipulative therapy for musculoskeletal conditions. Dr. Adams is passionate about partnering with patients, families, and the community to achieve the best possible care for her patients. Originally from Connecticut, she graduated from medical school at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia. Dr. Adams went on to receive her residency training through the Trident/MUSC family medicine residency program here in Charleston, where she served as chief resident. She joined as faculty in the Department of Family Medicine at MUSC in 2016.
