Farah Shaker Abed Abuazzam, MD

Dr. Farah Abuazzam is an assistant professor at MUSC. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Willis Knighton Health in LA, followed by a General Nephrology fellowship at Loma Linda University in CA, and a Transplant Nephrology fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis in MO.

Dr. Abuazzam provides comprehensive care across the transplant continuum, including evaluation and management of transplant candidates and recipients, immunosuppression management, transplant rejection, post-transplant complications, and complex kidney and pancreas transplant conditions.

Her clinical interests include kidney transplantation, pancreas transplantation, simultaneous kidney-pancreas transplantation, transplant immunosuppression, rejection, post-transplant infections, and long-term transplant outcomes.
