Hiram Bezerra, MD

Dr. Hiram Bezerra is a Professor of Medicine and Director of Interventional Cardiology at USF Health and Tampa General Hospital. Prior to arriving at USF Health, Dr. Bezerra was an Associate Professor of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University and the Director of Advanced Coronary Intervation and Mechanical Cericulatory Support at University Hospitals Cleveland. He has also served as the Director of Cardiac Catherization and the Director of Cardiovascular Imaging at University Hospitals, Clevland Medical Center for more than a decade.



Dr. Bezerra received his MD from Santa Casa de Vitoria. He subsequently completed his residency and cardiology/interventional cardiology fellowship at University of Sao Paulo. He later trained in Cardiac CT and MRI at Harvard Medical School.



Dr. Bezerra's clinical and research experitise is on minimally invasive cardiac surgery procedures. He is a highly accomplished operator and researcher on both advanced coronary disease and structural heart procedures. Dr. Bezerra is a world leader on imaging guided procedures with more than 200 peer-reviewed articles in addition to several NIH sponsored research.
