Dr. Castro is a board-certified family medicine physician. He attended medical school at Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale, AZ and completed his residency at Largo Medical Center in Largo, FL. Dr. Castro's professional research experience includes multiple studies at the University of Michigan Cancer Center in the diagnosis and treatment of head and neck cancer. Dr Castro was very understanding of my concerns and did a fabulous job of encouraging me to take charge of my wellness. He explained why medicine recommends items without saying, "if you don't lose weight, you will die!" He is calm, rational and patient in his explanations. I really appreciate his approach.

I have lost a lot of hair and recently found out there is a link between GLP-1 medications and hair loss. Dr. Castro seemed to know that already and neglected to mention it to me at the outset of treatment. That being said, Dr. Castro is an EXCELLENT doctor and I would not leave his practice in spite of its issues with scheduling. He made a good recommendation about how to possibly correct the problem. He also took time to listen to me, which can be rare these days.

Dr. Castro i am sure is a good doctor. With that being said, he came in very casually with his hands in his pocket like he was just strolling thru. I explained the problem he left came back with recommendations and walking in like he was strolling thru. Again. He then proceeded to tell me about the medicines to take and left. I had questions for him, i had to ask the nurse to bring him back because i had questions. He cane back with, guess what his hands back in his pockets like he was at a park. It just seems like he didn't want to take the time to listen. That is all.

The provider did not seem personal in my experience the provider kept on looking at his watch as if to see how fast he could get me out the door when I would try to explain he would cut me off.. My main reason for coming in was a headache, but his main concern felt like how fast can he get me out of there.
