Dr. McCormick joined the USF faculty in 2008 after six years in private practice. In addition to being a medical doctor, Dr. McCormick is a registered pharmacist, having majored in pharmacy as an undergraduate student where he graduated at the top of his class. Subsequently, he completed an internship and residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at USF, including a year as chief resident. Dr. McCormick is a fellow with the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP) and with the American College of Physicians (FACP).





Dr. McCormick has received several awards for his teaching and clinical skills. He is currently the Associate Program Director of the Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Training Program at USF, where he is actively engaged in training residents and medical students.

I had heard VERY nice things about Dr McCormick. After our appointment I can say that he exceeded my expectations. He was friendly and had studied my chart beforehand. He listened to my concerns (I'm 88 and have some anxiety about going to the dr) and answered all the questions with kindness, knowledge and humor. My daughters and I left feeling that he might be the best USF doctor we've seen and that says a lot because my healthcare at USF/TGH has been EXCELLENT.
