Joseph J. Benich, M.D.

Dr. Joseph Benich, III is a board-certified family medicine physician who provides care to both children and adults. His scope of practice includes well and preventative care, acute and sick visit care, and chronic disease management. He also performs minor office procedures including joint injections and dermatological procedures. Dr. Benich strives to work with patients, families, and the community to achieve the best possible care for his patients.Dr. Benich was born and raised in Mount Pleasant and still lives there with his family. He enjoys practicing medicine in the community in which he grew up. After graduating from the College of Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina, Dr. Benich went on to receive his residency training through the Trident/MUSC Family Medicine Residency Program here in Charleston as well. He served as chief resident in his final year of residency before joining the Department of Family Medicine. His interests also include medical education, and he is active in the training of both medical students and residents.
