Kayla Martin, FNP-C

Kayla Martin is a certified nurse practitioner eager to continue providing care and compassion to the community. She attended Chamberlain University of Illinois for her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a focus on Family Practice. She holds a certification with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners., as well as Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Life Support, and DOT Medical Examiner certifications. Prior to graduate school, she graduated Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at Newberry College. After undergraduate, she worked in the Intensive Care Unit at Prisma Health Baptist Parkridge where her compassion for caring for others began and prospered into furthering her career. Thus, she continues to work per diem on the unit. Since completing her MSN in April of 2023, she has been employed at Doctor's Care Urgent Care to build her foundation clinically. She has seen a variety of ages of patients ranging from 6 months of age and up. She has gained expertise in managing respiratory illness, repairing lacerations, managing musculoskeletal conditions, and other acute care conditions. She is passionate about the urgent care setting due to the diversity of the patient population. She aspires to continue to provide quality urgent care and serve the rural population. Kayla is eager to continue with her contributions to providing quality healthcare. Outside of work, Kayla enjoys spending time with her family including her husband Tyler, her parents, and her fur babies: Bubbles and Buttercup.
