Sarah Elizabeth Schmitt, M.D.

Sarah Schmitt, M.D. completed her undergraduate training at Brown University, where she graduated magna cum laude with a degree in neuroscience and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She completed her medical degree at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, and then completed her internship, neurology residency, and epilepsy fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. She then joined the faculty at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in 2009, where she was an assistant professor of neurology and the medical laboratory of the EEG laboratory from 2009 to 2015. After leaving the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Schmitt joined the Medical University of South Carolina as an associate professor.
