Satish Chandrashekaran, MD

Dr. Satish Chandrashekaran is a physician specializing in pulmonary and critical care medicine, with a clinical focus on lung transplantation. He is the Medical Director of Lung Transplantation at Tampa General Hospital and an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of South Florida. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) and the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP). He served on the steering committee of the International Multicenter Registry on Extracorporeal Life Support (ECLS) and Lung Transplantation, as well as the American College of Chest Physicians (CHEST) Transplant Network. Dr. Chandrashekaran earned his medical degree from Kurnool Medical College in Andhra Pradesh, India. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois, followed by fellowship training in Critical Care Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and Pulmonary Disease at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, with a focus on lung transplantation. He also completed a Postdoctoral Certificate Program in Clinical and Translational Science through the Mayo Clinic Center for Translational Science Activities (CTSA).
