I was given the information about my options in great detail. Either way there were the possibility of a problem but that's normal with any surgery. My questions were all answered and I made a decision that I think for me was right.

What I asked the doctor to do is not common and I knew it. He explained everything to me good and bad but left me with confidence that he could do the job well

Dr. Akkeneki was great and his intern was fantastic. They went through my medical history, explained the procedure really well, and answered all my questions.

We had questions about why the surgery was scheduled prior to my first visit with the doctor, the reason given was very reasonable and his review of the scans I had done the previous weekend gave me and my spouse a fuller understanding of what the procedure was and the possibility of a hospital stay and why were fully explained. We left with the assurance that this doctor was one we could trust and would perform the procedure in a way that would help understand the next steps, if needed, would possibly be.
