Varsha Gupta, M.D., MBBS

Dr. Varsha Gupta is a medical oncologist specializing in the care of patients with breast cancer. She received her medical degree from R.G. Kar Medical College, West Bengal University of Health Sciences. She subsequently completed her Internal Medicine residency and Hematology and Oncology fellowship at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Hackensack Meridian Health. Prior to joining the Medical University of South Carolina, Dr. Gupta served on the faculty of the Breast Cancer Clinic at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center. There, she provided care for patients across all stages and subtypes of breast cancer and served as co-investigator on multiple clinical trials aimed at improving patient outcomes. Dr. Gupta's research interests include strategies to improve the tolerability of cancer treatments, with a special focus on young-onset breast cancer and the unique survivorship challenges faced by this population. Her work interests include early phase clinical trials, real-world evidence research, and efforts to expand access to clinical trials for underserved patients.
