Julia Young, APRN

About
Julia N. Smith is a clinical nurse who delivers integrative and evidence-based nursing care in collaboration with an inpatient multidisciplinary team of physicians, advanced practice providers, specialists, support staff and registered nurses. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Tampa and Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of South Florida. Smith is affiliated with the Florida Association of Nurse Practitioners and received the CVS Health Foundation Scholarship, McNichols Scholarship and the TGH Nurses Week Scholarship. She is also a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

Prior to joining Tampa General Medical Group, Esmeralda worked in Tampa General's Medical and Surgical Oncology Unit providing acute nursing care to medical, surgical and oncology patients. Most recently, she practiced with the Community Health Centers of Pinellas in St. Petersburg, FL, providing primary care services and working to maintain continuity of care for patients by establishing diagnosis and treatment of common acute and chronic illness with health promotion and disease prevention.
Esmeralda is a member of the Florida Nurse Practitioner Network, Tampa Bay Advanced Practice Nurses Council, West Coast Council of Advanced Nursing Practices and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Esmeralda treats patients 18 years of age and older.


Daniel Espinoza, MD

Dr. Espinoza completed his internship at Hospital Nacional Hipólito Unanue in Lima, Peru, and completed his residency at Mount Carmel Family Medicine in Westerville, Ohio where he received an academic honor award as the resident who most exemplifies the heart of a family physician.
Dr. Espinoza is experienced in managing medical, surgical, pediatric, obstetric and gynecologic emergencies. He is an active member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physicians, and Florida Academy of Family Physicians, and is fluent in both English and Spanish. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, studying science, and spending time with family.
Dr. Espinoza is recognized by the NCQA Diabetes Recognition Program.


Tanuja Sharma, MD

Dr. Sharma's professional interests include broad spectrum family medicine, educating medical students and residents, and integrative medicine. Her personal interest include international travel, teaching, music, singing, meditation, swimming, Yoga and cooking. She is proficient in English, Hindi and Punjabi.

Ashish Singhal, MD
Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery
About
Prior to joining Tampa General Hospital, Dr. Singhal served as a senior consultant surgeon at Fortis Hospitals, India. Dr. Singhal brings a wide range of experience and knowledge of the complex living-donor liver transplantation procedure.
Dr. Singhal's extensive experience includes working as an attending surgeon in the Division of Abdominal Organ Transplantation and Hepatobiliary Surgery at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. He spent two years as a consultant surgeon in the Division of Liver Transplantation and Hepatobiliary Surgery at Fortis Hospital in Mohali, India, after being an assistant professor of surgery at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
In addition to transplantation, Dr. Singhal treats patients with liver disease, cancer of the liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, and other cancers that spread to the liver from other organs. He has an unparalleled commitment to working with patients in complex health circumstances and providing high-quality care to improve the quality of life of patients.
Dr. Singhal is credited with several publications, book chapters, presentations, abstracts, and journal reviews in areas of his expertise. Affiliated with the American Society of Transplant Surgeons and numerous professional organizations, Dr. Singhal has served as a committee member for many professional organizations too. His research interests include living donor liver transplantation, liver cancer, liver regeneration, and transplant immunology/pharmacology.
