USF Health Primary Care

I grew up in California and Oregon enjoying beaches and the mountains. After high school I began my medical career in the United States Air Force as a Medic, serving at home and abroad. From there I earned my Bachelor of Nursing degree from the University of South Florida. I practiced as a bedside nurse for 5 years while going back to school to earn my doctoral degree as a Nurse Practitioner, also from USF. I then joined the team hear at USF Internal Medicine and Pediatrics where I have been proudly serving this community since 2020.

I am board-certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.  I completed my internship and residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at USF, including a year as chief resident.  I am a fellow of American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).  I am actively engaged in training residents and medical students. I am dedicated in providing high-quality, evidence-based primary care for all ages, from newborns to adults/geriatrics. I am focused on patient education and communication to reach a shared treatment goal to improve outcomes and quality of life.

I am a bilingual doctorally prepared, board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a graduate of the University of South Florida. I bring seven years of critical care experience at Tampa General Hospital, including six years in neuroscience caring for complex neurological and trauma patients, particularly within the Spanish-speaking community. I also have outpatient neurology experience across the lifespan and am passionate about delivering compassionate, evidence-based care and educating patients to improve their quality of life.
