USF Health Vascular Lab - South Tampa

I'm currently working as an Assistant Professor in the University of South Florida Physician Assistant Program. On Fridays, I continue to provide care to patients that require same day (acute care) appointments for USF Family Medicine.

Dr. Trushar Patel is an Associate Professor and serves as the Vice Chairman in the Department of Urology at the University of South Florida. He is the Director of Urologic Oncology and Robotic Surgery, in addition to his role as the Residency Program Director. Dr. Patel completed a fellowship in Robotic and Minimally Invasive Urologic Oncology at Columbia University Medical Center. Prior to his fellowship, he completed his urology residency at Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. Patel serves on several institutional, state, and national leadership committees. He is currently the highest-volume Robotic Urologic Oncologist in the Tampa Bay Region. Dr. Patel's research interests include medical/surgical education and health policy.

Dr. Jean Bismuth started his Vascular Surgery career in his hometown of Copenhagen, Denmark and has spent the last 17 years in Houston, Texas. Although he manages the full spectrum of vascular disease, his key clinical interests include aortic dissection, peripheral arterial disease (PAD), and central venous pathology. He brings a collaborative approach of working across specialties in the cardiovascular space, innovations in cardiovascular care, and a strong research background, which has included funding from the National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation, American Heart Association and the Society for Vascular Surgery among others.

Shreya Narayanan is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Digestive Diseases of Nutrition. She completed her internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at USF and was recruited to the faculty to further the small bowel program. She has a particular interest in celiac disease, small bowel bleeding, and deep enteroscopy. She also has a passion for medical education and very much enjoys serving as Associate Program Director for the GI fellowship program and as a career advisor for the students at USF Morsani College of Medicine.

Dr. Khalaf is committed to providing individualized, innovative, and compassionate care for pediatric patients with gastrointestinal conditions.

I’m a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in internal medicine and pediatrics. I provide evidence-based, compassionate care to patients of all ages, with a focus on prevention, wellness, and long-term health. My background includes critical care and wound care nursing, and I’m passionate about building strong relationships with patients and their families. Outside of work, I enjoy exploring local coffee shops and biking with my English Shepherd.
