Chelsea Caldejon, MS, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in primary care. She cares for patients over time to support their long-term outcomes.

Sandra Lee, MD, is a board-certified general pediatrician who provides a full spectrum of pediatric care. She has special interests in newborn care and adolescent medicine.

Tahira Malik, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician who has also earned board eligibility in pediatric nephrology (kidney care). She provides the full spectrum of primary care, with an emphasis on preventive medicine.

Sudha Parvataneni, MD, is a primary care doctor. She diagnoses and treats a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions, including hypertension, diabetes and hyperlipidemia. She places a strong focus on preventive medicine.

Passionate about building strong and lasting relationships with her patients, Dr. Parvataneni explains, "I'm dedicated to earning my patients' trust. Aparna Mukkamala, MD, is a primary care doctor. She diagnosis and treats a wide variety of acute (sudden) medical issues and helps patients manage chronic (long-term) conditions.

Dr. Mukkamala listens carefully, explains things clearly and encourages patients to participate in their care. She explains, "I've found that when patients feel heard and supported, it really makes a difference in their overall experience and outcomes."

She has been in practice since 2007 and remains passionate about her work. She appreciates the opportunity to support people, especially during vulnerable times. She says, "I like connecting with people, hearing their stories and working together to help them feel better and stay healthy."

Outside of work, Dr. Mukkamala likes traveling and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys peaceful walks in parks and gardens to recharge and stay balanced.

Robin Cheng, MD, is a urologic surgeon who diagnoses and treats conditions affecting the urinary tract and male reproductive system. He performs surgeries and procedures to deliver immediate, meaningful health improvements. He also provides comprehensive nonsurgical urologic care. One of the most rewarding parts of his work is witnessing the satisfaction and relief patients feel after treatment.

Dr. Cheng believes in a personal, compassionate approach. He takes time to communicate clearly with patients and their families. "These open conversations ensure everyone understands the condition and feels empowered during the treatment process," he explains. "Together, we make shared decisions and create a care plan that reflects each patient's goals and values."

El Camino Health has been a part of Dr. Cheng's medical journey from the start. As an auxiliary volunteer in high school, he admired the organization's innovative spirit and deep commitment to serving the Bay Area. He returned as a physician to continue that mission by staying at the forefront of urology and delivering high-quality, community-based care.

During his training, Dr. Cheng conducted research on cancer biology, immunotherapy and the use of ultra-low-dose CT scans to detect kidney stones. More recently, he has evaluated the accuracy of artificial intelligence (AI) chatbots in answering patients' urological questions. He has also published a case report on urological trauma.

Dr. Cheng is a member of the American Urological Association (AUA) and the Society of Chinese American Physician Entrepreneurs (SCAPE). He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.

Outside of work, Dr. Cheng enjoys spending time with his family and dog, swimming, reading historical nonfiction and hiking scenic trails around the Bay Area.

Ralph Akl, DO, is a family medicine physician and hospitalist. He provides comprehensive care for people of all ages in and out of the hospital.

As an osteopath, Dr. Akl listens carefully to ensure that treatments will best support the whole person, not just the condition. He combines compassion with evidence-based care to build trust and to support patients throughout their health journeys.

Caroline Luczak, PA-C, is a physician assistant who specializes in cardiology and urgent care.

She delivers personalized care that centers around treating the whole person rather than just their medical condition. She builds strong patient relationships that revolve around active listening, clear communication and shared decision-making.

Caroline ensures that patients understand their conditions and treatment options so they can make informed healthcare decisions. Lisa Kurt, PA-C, is a physician assistant who specializes in internal medicine. She cares for patients across the lifespan, with a focus on preventive health. Her goal is to help people stay well at every age.

In the clinic, Lisa values relationship-building and clear communication. She takes time to get to know her patients and understand their needs and goals. Then, she offers education and guidance to help them make informed, confident decisions about their health. "It's a privilege to work alongside patients and be trusted with their care," she says.

Sayaka Taguchi is a family medicine physician assistant who cares for patients of all ages. She is passionate about helping people achieve a healthy lifestyle to enhance their quality of life and to decrease their risk of developing preventable health conditions.

Taking a holistic approach to care, Sayaka partners with her patients to support both their physical and mental health. She works hard to create a safe space where patients feel comfortable discussing anything that affects their well-being.

Born in Japan and raised in Sunnyvale, CA, Sayaka is fluent in both Japanese and English. She is excited for the opportunity to practice medicine in her hometown, where she can provide care to the same community that helped raise her.

Hsing Pao, MD, is a family medicine physician who works with children and adults. He diagnoses and treats acute and chronic health conditions and provides preventive care.

Steven D. Ngo, MD, specializes in urology and urologic surgery. He treats conditions that affect the male and female urinary tract system as well as the male reproductive system. Some of these conditions include kidney stones, urinary tract infections, bladder control issues, erectile dysfunction, prostate conditions and urologic cancers.

Dr. Ngo understands that urologic issues can deeply impact private aspects of a person's life. He strives to build strong relationships by creating a space where patients feel safe, understood and empowered. He collaborates with patients to create personalized treatment plans that cure or manage conditions, preserve function and improve quality of life.

He explains, "As both a physician and an educator, I see myself as a bridge between complex medicine and each patient's personal goals, values and life circumstances."

Laveena Sehgal, MD, is a primary care doctor specializing in family medicine. She sees patients of all ages and helps them manage a wide range of health concerns.

Passionate about preventive medicine, Dr. Sehgal helps patients make small but meaningful lifestyle changes that support long-term well-being. Watching their confidence grow along the way is one of the most rewarding parts of her work.

Thomas Busch, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician. He offers personalized, full-spectrum care for patients of all ages - from newborns to older adults.

Dr. Busch specializes in managing chronic (long-term) conditions such as high blood pressure (hypertension), diabetes and obesity. He also treats acute (sudden) illnesses and injuries. His goal is to help people thrive at every stage of life.

Dr. Busch provides a range of women's health services, including prenatal care and gynecologic exams. Passionate about preventive care, he emphasizes screenings, vaccinations, mental health support and lifestyle counseling. This way, patients can stay ahead of illness and feel their best.

From complex condition management to routine check-ups, Dr. Busch addresses the unique needs of each patient he sees. Together, they create a plan for lasting wellness. "Meaningful care starts with a strong partnership, empathy and open communication," he explains.

Before becoming a physician, Dr. Busch worked as a molecular biologist and researcher. This scientific foundation guides his evidence-based approach to care.

Dr. Busch was born at El Camino Hospital and grew up nearby in Cupertino, in the heart of Silicon Valley. After completing medical training on the East Coast, he's proud to return home and care for the diverse, vibrant communities in the South Bay Area.

Dr. Busch is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and an affiliate of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). He has received several honors and awards for his academic excellence and dedication to service.

Outside of work, Dr. Busch is an outdoor enthusiast. He enjoys trail hiking, mountain biking, running and skiing.

Lee White, MD, PhD, is a urologist. He has a special clinical interest in general urology, urologic oncology and robotic surgery.

Dr. White offers a wide variety of personalized care options. He strives to meet each patient's unique needs and priorities to help them achieve the best outcomes.

Empowering patients through education is his goal. He takes time to explain conditions as well as the pros and cons of all treatment options, so people can make the best choices for their health.

Dr. White has family members who carry the BRCA gene, which predisposes them to aggressive breast, ovarian and prostate cancers. This deeply personal experience motivated him to become a urologic oncologist to help others dealing with urologic cancer. He shares, "I'm passionate about urology because it's incredibly rewarding to help patients through daunting diagnoses and to provide treatments that profoundly enhance their quality of life."

Dr. White has been involved in surgical robotics research since 2008. He has worked with pioneers like Intuitive Surgical (da Vinci robot) and Auris/Johnson & Johnson (Monarch robot). He earned a PhD from the University of Washington (2013) that focused on surgical education for robotic surgery. He explains, "My ultimate goal is to apply my combined expertise as a robotics researcher and urologic surgeon to directly improve the tools we use for patient care."

Drawn to El Camino Health's spirit of innovation and commitment to the community, he says, "My engineering and robotics background made El Camino Health a natural fit. It's a place where I can integrate advanced medical technology into urological care."

Dr. White has won awards for research presented at national meetings and essays written about the history of robotic surgery in urology. He is a member of the American Urological Association and Society of Urologic Oncology.

In addition to his clinical and research work, Dr. White is an entrepreneur. He co-founded a successful med-tech start-up, called C-SATS, Inc, which is now part of Johnson & Johnson. In his free time, Dr. White enjoys spending time with his family, especially outdoors - camping, hiking and skiing.
